George Hunkele

George Hunkele grew up in West Haven, CT, before attending Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA. During his four years of NEPSAC hockey, he helped lead his team to a New England championship his junior year and achieved All-New England status his senior year. George went on to have a successful career at Williams College, where he earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2014.

 

After graduating from Williams in 2017, he spent three years teaching and coaching at Avon Old Farms. Having experienced both sides of the bench and the classroom, George understands the importance of being a well-rounded player, student, and person. This perspective drives his commitment to guiding young players and their families through their hockey journeys, emphasizing not only hockey development but also personal growth and academic success.
